Don't
make the wrong compromises
Unless
you’re a millionaire, sadly you will inevitably have to make
some compromises when it comes to planning your Wedding budget.
It’s
tempting when you set yourself a budget, to assign a maximum spend
on each thing you want on the day. Say for example you might set a
budget of £1000 for a Wedding Photographer. This can have serious
disadvantages, as when you finally find the Photographer that’s
right for you, they might be £2000, double your assigned budget!
So you’ll have to make a compromise, spend less on something
else to get the great photographer, or stick to the budget and get
the other guy who wasn’t as good but was cheaper.
The
key to avoiding this trap, is to do as much research as possible
before you draw up your budget. Talk to people who provide the
services you really want, to find out what they can do for you and
for how much. Once you’ve established what’s most important to
you and what that will actually cost, let that be your budget.
It’s far easier to wait a little longer to save and have the
perfect wedding, than it is to live with the regret of making a
compromise you didn’t want to make.
